The University of Kentucky (UK) offers an online Master’s Art’s Administration degree. The completely online environment of this course offers students increased flexibility and convenience of attending class during their free time. This program is the first online graduate program in art’s administration offered in the United States by a public university.
The Art’s Administration program intends to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to become successful leaders in art organizations. This program is designed to teach and inspire students to reach their full potential and excel as the next generation in the arts. The Art’s Administration program prides itself on having a student-centered environment that encourages student-faculty and peer interaction and networking.
The University of Kentucky requires students to complete 36-credit hours in order to fulfill the requirements for this program. The curriculum focuses on many topics including management, leadership, marketing, fundraising, arts and the law, financial management, and social and cultural entrepreneurship.
This program is affordable and all students will pay in-state tuition even if they live out of state. Having all students pay the same rate allows UK to provide the most qualified students across the country with an exceptional education.
Applicants to the Master of Arts in Arts Administration program should have an undergraduate degree in arts administration or a related arts field including but not limited to architecture, art, cinema studies, dance, design, film, English, music or theatre. Students may also be admitted if they have completed an undergraduate degree in business, communications or a related field. Students should demonstrate an interest in the arts through extra-curricular activities, volunteer or professional experience.
