The Education Specialist program provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to become successful and influential in the education field. Once admitted into the program, students will be assigned an advisor and will meet with them during the first semester to create an individualized curriculum contract that will be reviewed each year and updated accordingly. Students will also be required to complete a summative assessment, in which they will select an assignment from one completed course that has an action research component and work to revise and expand the paper for the oral exam.
