Program Details

The online Master of Science in Food Science & Human Nutrition program allows students to complete the degree without attending courses on campus or completing a thesis.  Students will complete studies ranging from topics in food chemistry and processing to distilling and packaging.  Courses may include:

  • Food Chemistry
  • Applied Statistical Methods
  • Food Processing Engineering
  • Beverage Science & Technology
  • Package Engineering


  • A baccalaureate degree is required
  • Recommended to have a degree related to physical, biological, agricultural, or engineering sciences
  • Required background courses include general chemistry, organic chemistry, microbiology, physics, and calculus
