Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Aerospace Materials program prepares students to work with advanced materials, especially composites and high temperature materials.  As these advanced materials become more common in aerospace engineering, this advanced knowledge becomes very relevant.  The flexible curriculum allows students to choose their own courses based on their interests and career needs.  Courses may include:

  • Mechanics of Polymers 
  • Mechanics of Composites
  • Dynamic Response of Materials 
  • Advanced Composite Materials
  • Composites Manufacturing

Requirements

  • BS degree in engineering or science from an accredited college in the United States or an approved institution of higher learning abroad
  • Basic background knowledge in the area of Aerospace Engineering
  • Students with a non-engineering BS must have acquired this knowledge through coursework and/or through professional experience in order to qualify
  • GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher for the last 60 semester hours in a BS program
