The online Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management and Continuity Planning offers interdisciplinary leadership training in numerous areas including communications management, continuity planning, crisis management, emergency operations management, organizational crisis response, and risk management. Students learn to analyze risk and vulnerabilities and apply Federal guidelines to the development of emergency management plans. Courses also teach students to formulate strategic plans to respond to disasters and implement recovery programs; understand technological and administrative needs when planning and implementing emergency response and recovery plans; and develop operational plans to respond to public health emergencies, natural disasters, and terrorist events.
