Master of Science in Pharmacy with a Concentration in Medication Therapy Management

The University of Florida’s Master of Science in Pharmacy with a Concentration in Medication Therapy Management is delivered by the university’s College of Pharmacy, and administered under the Department of Distance, Continuing, and Executive Education. The Medication Therapy Management concentration is designed for working professionals, typically practicing pharmacists, who desire to gain the innovative patient care and business skills needed to become a leader in the groundbreaking field of medication therapy management.
The Medication Therapy Management program consists of 33 total credit hours, taken over the course of five semesters, all of which are completed online. The only on-campus experience the students will partake in is the MTM Institute, during which they will gain hands-on experience in the assessment and communication skills that are necessary to be a successful practicing Medical Therapy Manager. Some of the courses that students will take through this program span the topics of Cardiovascular Focus, Endocrine Focus, Psychiatric Focus, Neurological Focus, and Respiratory Focus. Upon completion of the thorough and innovative curriculum, students may possess all of the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful and effective in the field of Medication Therapy Management.
