Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Microsystem Technology program prepares students for the complex, interdisciplinary development of microsystem technologies.  The program teaches students about topics such as microactuators, microsensors, microfluidic devices, micropower systems, microoptical devices, and other microelectromechanical systems.  Courses may include:

  • Semiconductor Device Fabrication Laboratory
  • Principles of Micro-Electro-Mechanical Transducers
  • Design of MEMS Transducers
  • Advanced Microsystem Technology 
  • Microfluidics and BioMEMS


  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, science, technology, or a closely related discipline
  • 3.0 undergraduate GPA, or a minimum of five years of professional employment experience in an engineering discipline
  • Official transcripts from all colleges previously attended
