Executive Fire & Emergency Services Officer Certificate
The University of Florida’s Certificate in Fire and Emergency Services Management is offered through a primarily online format. This program is delivered through the university’s College of Design, Construction, and Planning, and administered under the M.E. Rinker Sr. School of Building Construction. There is currently a critical need for fire and emergency services leaders with professional knowledge and skills. This course of study attempts to answer this call by offering a diverse and thorough curriculum to individuals who wish to gain that top-notch education and work in this important field.
The coursework of this undergraduate level certificate program consists of five courses, or 15 credit hours. All courses are delivered through an online format, and the only locational requirement is that final examinations must either be taken at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, at the Florida State Fire College in Ocala, or proctored locally. Some of the course topics that are covered in this program’s curriculum include Principles in Fire and Emergency Services Management, Management of Fire Prevention Programs, Fire and Emergency Services Public Policy and Administration, and Fire and Emergency Services Integrated Operations.
To register you must have a related Associated degree from an accredited college and appropriate supervisory experience.
