Bachelor of Science in Health Education & Behavior

Program Details

The online Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Behavior provides training on how to promote healthy lifestyle choices in individual and group settings.  The curriculum focuses on diversity and culturally appropriate health education methodologies while enabling students to focus their coursework on areas of interest in health education and health promotion in community, clinical, or worksite settings, as well as in health studies.

Requirements

  • Must have a diploma from a regionally accredited or state-approved secondary school or the equivalent
  • A cumulative C average in the academic core
  • SAT or ACT (waived for freshman applicants who graduated high school 5 years ago or more)
  • A record of good conduct

Restrictions

UF is partially authorized for residents of Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, and Washington. States pending authorization include: Kansas, Michigan, New York, and Oregon.

Distance education programs in allied health professions, counseling, education, nursing, social work, and veterinary medicine may require additional approval from state licensing agencies or boards. Out-of-state students who are considering applying to a professional program should contact the licensing agency or board in their state prior to enrollment.
