Program Details

The online Master of Science in Criminal Justice program prepares graduates to pursue doctorates in criminal justice and criminology or to begin careers in public and private-sector agencies in the criminal justice system at all levels of government.  The curriculum covers the study of crime and justice from the perspectives of sociology, political science, psychology, and law, stressing theoretical and quantitative analysis.  Students study criminological theory, research methods, statistics, criminal justice policy, and crime patterns.  The program is divided into two tracks:

  • The Thesis Track—prepares students to pursue doctoral-level study
  • The Non-Thesis Track—geared toward working professionals and provides advanced training
