Program Details

The online Master of Public Health / Master of Social Work is a coordinated degree program in Maternal and Child Health Policy and Leadership/Master of Social Work.  The program prepares social workers for interdisciplinary practice in public health programs concerned with the promotion and improvement of the health of diverse populations, including women, children, and families.


Students must apply separately to each program. Acceptance into one school's program does not automatically ensure acceptance into the other school's program. To apply for the MSW, please apply through the UA School of Social Work: UA School of Social Work To apply for the MPH, please apply through the UAB School of Public Health.  This is a coordinated dual degree program and, as such, graduation from one program is contingent upon completion of all requirements for graduation from the other program.
