Program Details

The online Master of Education in Science and the Public program focuses on preparing educators to engage in public activities and debates related to science and to promote science literacy and understanding in the public at large.  The program also promotes scholarship in science and humanism, science and public policy, and science in the political, religious, and secular environments.  The curriculum teaches educators how to develop and implement public policy decisions that provide solutions for 21st century science and technological challenges.  Graduates will work in organizations such as government and legislative offices, informal science institutions such as museums and zoos, K-12 schools, mass media, research institutions, and science and technology corporations.
