Program Details

Union Institute & University offers an online psychology degree, the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, that prepares students for careers in various mental health and human services fields.  This program also serves as preparation for graduate-level study in clinical or counseling psychology, even allowing qualified students to begin their master’s during their final term of the major.  Union also offers an accelerated pathway from the online bachelor’s in psychology to the online Master of Arts degree program.  Designed with great flexibility so students can continue their careers while studying, this program offers three concentrations to meet the students’ unique goals and interests:

  • Addictions Studies
  • Forensic Psychology
  • Holistic Psychology

Courses teach students to analyze key concepts, principles, and overarching themes in psychology and to consider multiple perspectives in the field.  You will learn to use scientific reasoning, interpret psychological research, and to evaluate the impact of psychological factors on lifespan development.  Graduates are prepared to evaluate psychological science and practice using professional ethical standards and to recognize values that support diversity and social justice.
