Ulster County Community College (SUNY Ulster) was established on a temporary campus in the historic Ulster Academy Building in Kingston, New York, in 1963. The first class of less than 50 students graduated two years later. Over the decades, new academic programs have been introduced to address the education and training needs of emerging careers, and to meet the 21st-century needs of students and the Hudson Valley workforce. Campus facilities and technology have continuously been updated to support our educational programs. And new options for online and distance learning are always evolving.
SUNY Ulster offers associate’s degrees and certificates that serve students who wish to transfer to four-year institutions, enter the workforce, or update skills. A wide variety of online courses are available each semester, and several degrees and certificates can be earned completely online.
