Program Details

The Associate in Arts in Psychology is an online psychology degree from Tulsa Community College.  This program is primarily designed for students planning on transferring to a four-year college or university to further their educations in psychology.  Regardless of future plans, this degree helps students understand the human mind and behavior, including why people act the way they do.  The curriculum covers a variety of topics, including:

• Personality theories
• Social psychology
• Psychological disorders
• Motivation
• Learning
• Research

You will learn to apply psychological principles to individual, interpersonal, group, and societal issues along with understanding the basic components of research methods and design.  Upon completion students will be prepared to evaluate the ethical standards of psychological science and practice and explain individual and cultural diversity along with the interpersonal challenges resulting from diversity and context.
