Program Details

The online Master of Science in International Relations is a humanities degree for an increasingly interconnected world that prepares students for success on the global stage.  Students gain an understanding of international political and economic trends and activities that help shape and define the world while also learning to interpret and analyze global trends and concepts with this degree in humanities.  You will learn to understand other cultures in a diverse curriculum that covers history, regional studies comparative government, foreign policy studies, political economy, conflict management, intercultural relations, and more.  This humanities curriculum provides a wide-ranging appreciation for the political, historical, cultural, economic, and geographical factors affecting international relations and also gives students analytical and theoretical skills. 

Three concentrations are available:

  • Global Studies
  • National Security Affairs
  • Regional Affairs


  • Official transcripts
  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • 2.5 GPA in all undergraduate work or at least a 3.0 GPA on the last 30 semester hours
  • GMAT or GRE score
    • May be waived for qualified applicants
  • Letter of recommendation
