MEd - Educational Technology Management
Tiffin University offers the Master of Education degree in Educational Technology Management for students and professionals in education who want to develop their knowledge of the processes of education by developing a research-based approach toward understanding contemporary issues in educational technology. Students in the program will learn about emerging and traditional technologies utilized by students in order to better understand the role of technology in education and future developments in the educational processes. In addition, students may learn to manage technology for educational objectives. The program emphasizes class studies that benefit the student through practical education in educational technology. These classes include Philosophy of Education, Diversity in Education, and Technology for Educators.
Those who complete this program will need to have demonstrated certain necessary knowledge and professional qualifications expected of instructional design in education. These qualifications include the ability to design and implement conditions for learning by applying principles, theories, and research associated with instructional systems design, message design, and learner characteristics, and to develop instructional materials and experiences by applying principles, theories, and research related to integrated technologies. Students should also be able to use processes and resources for learning by applying principles, theories, and research related to media utilization and policy making, to plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise instructional technology by applying principles, theories, and research related to project, resource, delivery system, and information management, and to evaluate the adequacy of instruction and learning by applying principles, theories and research related to problem analysis, references, measurement, formative and evaluation, and planning.
