MEd – Adaptive Learning
Tiffin University offers a Master of Education degree with a specialization in Adaptive Learning for students and professionals in education who want to be a part of the community that develops educational curriculums and programs for learning, and works to create policy towards education to promote and revise standards to meet the needs of the education of students. Students will learn about the psychological, social, familial, and political issues that affect educational institutions and how to develop curriculum and programs in order to best utilize research and development in education to improve student success.
Students will aim to develop their educational and instructional abilities by studying topics as they relate to ongoing and current trends and practices in education. This will be done through a series of courses. These classes include Philosophy of Education, Diversity in Education, and Technology for Educators, among others.
Participants who have demonstrated the necessary professional and educational qualifications for roles as educators with specialization in understanding and applying current research in education may successfully complete this program. Some qualifications graduates should exhibit include an understanding of education systems, business principles, and student learning in solving institutional problems to drive institutional and student success, and how to make effective decisions based on critical evaluation of research and data. Other skills include being able to articulate the perspectives and interests of multiple stakeholders, to choose leadership approaches appropriate to the culture of the organization, to demonstrate an ability to deploy resources to achieve intended results, and to evaluate the potential impact of policies and processes on student outcomes.
