Master of Business Administration / Sports Management

Program Details

Tiffin University offers the Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Sports Management for students and professionals in sports and related fields with professional interests related to the leadership and management of sports teams, sports organizations, and sports-related businesses and industries. Students will learn about the operation of sports organizations and the major requirements of specialization and leadership required for those organizations, such as fundraising and development, and understanding compliance with practices and procedures of athletic governing bodies

Participants will explore the administration of sports organizations, especially in the administration and leadership of those organizations. Some classes that will assist students in learning this material include Individual and Team Work, Sports Mentorship, and Sport Communication and Fundraising.

Students completing the program should have demonstrated the necessary educational and professional qualifications for advanced roles in the leadership of sports teams and related organizations. These qualifications include the ability to demonstrate effective professional and interpersonal practices essential in the business of sports administration, to develop a range of professional strategies that promote their effectiveness in a business environment, and to demonstrate ethical, legal, and responsible behavior toward sports competitions, and understand the role that sports organizations have in society as leaders and role models as members of the business community.


Applicants must have an accredited bachelors degree. Applicants with at least a 3.0 GPA will be accepted. Applicants not meeting this qualification will be reviewed, with those having a 2.5+ GPA and 5 or more years of professional work experience considered first. Resume.
