Master of Business Administration / Healthcare Administration

Program Details

Tiffin University offers the Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Healthcare Administration for students and professionals in management and healthcare whose interests include the development of managerial ability in healthcare. Students will learn about the specialization of management in organizations whose responsibilities include the care of patients and public health care services and how those services differ from general management abilities.

Students will also learn about the U.S. healthcare system and the financial management and personnel management techniques that guide the operation of healthcare organizations. In addition, they will learn how economic principles apply to the operations of healthcare organizations and decisions, such as the allocation and distribution of resources and services. Students will also explore the techniques required to develop, manage, and control healthcare finances, while preparing for management roles in healthcare systems.

Students will study advanced topics in business, management, and healthcare systems. Those courses include Individual and Team Work, Information and Decision Support, and Financial Accounting.

Upon completion of the program, students should have demonstrated advanced knowledge and skill as well as professional qualifications in management of health care systems. Those qualifications include the ability to demonstrate an extensive and practical understanding of theory, tools, skills, practices, and researches related to the business of healthcare management, and the capability to manage effectively within those systems. Students should also be able to demonstrate effective professional and interpersonal practices essential in business, to develop a range of professional strategies that promote their effectiveness in a healthcare administrative environment, and to demonstrate ethical, legal, and responsible behavior necessary for roles of management and administration within healthcare organizations.


Applicants must have an accredited bachelors degree. Applicants with at least a 3.0 GPA will be accepted. Applicants not meeting this qualification will be reviewed, with those having a 2.5+ GPA and 5 or more years of professional work experience considered first. Resume.
