Master of Business Administration / Finance
Tiffin University offers the Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance for students, managers, and other professionals who want to develop their understanding of the field of finance. Students may also want to learn how finance applies to business activities, including developing strategies for financing operations, finance analysis, or developing new operations through entrepreneurship. Students will study practices in financial markets, and commercial and investment banking while studying the fundamentals of financial modeling and analysis. The program aims to prepare students as financiers with backgrounds in management, or to provide managers with specialization in financial management to improve their managerial effectiveness.
Students will focus on a curriculum that emphasizes the roles and responsibilities of financial managers and financial analysts within a business organization. Classes involved with this curriculum include Information and Decision Support, Management of Human Resources, and Managerial Finance.
Students completing the program should have demonstrated the necessary professional and educational qualifications for advanced and leadership roles in finance. These qualifications include knowledge of theory, tools, skills, practices, and research related to finance in business and being able to apply these to the problems and opportunities in a creative and critical manner. Graduates should also demonstrate effective professional and interpersonal practices essential in business, have a range of professional strategies that promote their effectiveness in the field of finance, and demonstrate ethical, legal, and responsible behavior and explain the broader role that business has in society and their own responsibilities as a member of the business community and citizens in society.
