Program Details

Tiffin University offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Studies for students who currently hold an associate or technical degree. The program is intended to train students in their field of experience and in their educational background in advanced topics. The program’s lesson plan is based off of the technical and occupational background of the student. By completing this program, students may have an opportunity to develop advanced education and credentials by utilizing their experiences to form the basis of the program.

Students will undergo a curriculum based on the experiences gained through occupational work and past studies. Those classes include Adult Development and Life Assessment, Issues in Literature, and American Art.

Upon completion of the program, students should have demonstrated advanced technical skills and undergraduate qualifications to enable future studies and occupational opportunities These qualifications include but are not limited to demonstrating acquired skills and knowledge in general education areas that are the foundation to life skills and further education, displaying basic knowledge in topics of general education which will provide the basis for further study, showing a basic knowledge in several areas of liberal studies, science, and math, and developing a broad foundation for advanced studies.


Students should transfer 45-66 previous college semester hours. Only courses with a "C" or better will transfer from a prior institution. Students typically have a minimum of five years professional work experience.
