Thomas University allows working inpiduals to still earn a Bachelor’s degree. With an entirely online format, students can both work and go to school. The Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science prepares inpiduals for employment in laboratory science, or working in medical laboratories. Thomas University graduates gain skills for working in numerous lab settings, including pharmaceutical, medical, forensic, veterinary, and physician offices.
The online option for a B.S. in Medical Laboratory Science is specifically designed for inpiduals who already obtain an Associates degree from an accredited school. After students have been accepted into the program, they begin their specified course curriculum consisting of online courses and clinical experience. Once students have earned their B.S. in Medical Laboratory Science, they are eligible to sit for the national certification examination.
Students wishing to complete the degree as a full-time student can finish in approximately 18 months, or four semesters. Depending on how many courses are taken per semester, part-time can take up to two years to complete.
Students should have an associate degree from a NAACLS accredited MLT/CLT program and hold current MLT certification.
