Program Details

The online Master of Arts in Liberal Studies degree program is designed for working professionals interested in applying the study of liberal arts to their professions.  This liberal arts degree allows students to tailor their programs to their professions or interests by selecting a Learner-Designed Area of Study.  Students can also choose to focus on one of the following areas of study:

• Digital Humanities
• Geropsychology
• Industrial Organizational Psychology
• Online Learning and Teaching
• Professional Communications

Each program will focus on the links between the liberal arts and the student’s career, allowing them to gain specific competencies and perspectives beneficial to their professions.  Graduates of this liberal arts degree are able to articulate and evaluate a system of values, apply imaginative and analytical skills developed through immersion in the liberal arts, sustain a cogent and articulate argument, assess the environmental impact of our viewpoints and projects, and emphasize compassion, justice, and respect for the rights of others.
