The University of West Florida offers an online Master of Education in Educational Leadership. Students who wish to pursue administrative and supervisory roles may benefit from this program. Career paths include principal, supervisor, director, curriculum developer, or dean.


  • Bachelor's degree from an institution that is fully accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or a comparable degree from an international institution
  • Minimum of three years of teaching experience 
  • Current professional teaching certification OR completion of additional criteria, including ESOL/ELL requirments and completion of Florida Reading Competency 2
  • Be in good standing at all previous institutions of higher learning
  • GPA of at least 3.0 on bachelor's degree
  • GRE, GMAT, or MAT test scores
