Program Details

The University of West Florida offers an online Master of Education in Exceptional Student Education. This program enhances the knowledge and skills of educators in special education classrooms. Students can further specialize in either Applied Behavior Analysis or Special & Alternative Education.


  • Bachelor's degree from an institution that is fully accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or a comparable degree from an international institution
  • Hold or be seeking current professional teaching certification
  • Be in good standing at all previous institutions of higher learning
  • GPA of at least 3.0 on bachelor's degree
  • Current (within five years) official GRE or MAT scores
  • Letter of intent
  • Two professional references
