Program Details

The University of West Florida offers an online Master of Arts degree in English to the nontraditional student.  This program offers specializations in literature or creative writing.  Students develop essential analytical and communication skills preparing them for many different professional pathways, including but not limited to:

Requirements

  • Official transcripts 
  • Official GRE Verbal score of at least 153 and Analytical Writing score of at least 4.5 or equivalent GRE percentile performance under the new testing platform; OR Official MAT-minimum score 413 
  • 20 hours upper division undergraduate coursework in English 
  • Statement of purpose 
  • Three letters of recommendation 
  • A writing sample 
  • A bachelor's degree
