The University of West Florida offers an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Exceptional Student Education. The program is designed for aspiring educators who want to teach children and youth with exceptionalities in reading or ESOL. Students gain opportunities and experience to work with exceptional children in Florida or other states as well.
This bachelor completion option requires 120 credits for completion, including transfer credits. Major curriculum is offered online, along with many of the lower division requirements.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.50 in all previously attempted college work
- A passing score on the General Knowledge Test of the Florida Teacher Certification Exam
- Completion of EDF 1005 Introduction to Education with a grade of "C-" or higher
