Program Details

The University of Tennessee-Knoxville offers a Master of Science degree in Social Work to human services students seeking an Advanced Standing program.  Students may take on a full-time or part-time option, led by the same faculty who teach on-campus.  Concentrations within this program include:

  • Evidence-Based Interpersonal Practice
  • Organizational Leadership

Courses are offered in synchronous and asynchronous formats, making this a flexible option for the working adult student.  Students pursuing an Advanced Standing degree must already possess a BSW or BSSW degree.  Discover applicable workplace practices through field practicum opportunities in schools, courts, hospitals, nursing homes, and more.  Students will take on advanced training, skill development, and essential knowledge to prepare for professional, progressive social work practice through UT online.
