The University of Tennessee allows students to complete their Executive MBA in a single year. They have developed the proprietary High Compression LearningSM method to deliver knowledge and experience in the shortest possible time frame. The course combines distance learning with residence periods. It's a lockstep program, meaning students and their classmates will move through the same coursework at the same pace. There are no electives or industry-specific courses; instead, the program use a holistic, integrated approach called the Executive Core.
A four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited institution or foreign equivalent. A minimum GPA average of 2.7, or a 3.0 during the senior year of undergraduate study. Previous graduate work (including foreign degrees) must have a grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4-point scale or equivalent. However, a strong record of professional or educational accomplishment may be considered as part of a GPA waiver request GMAT scores. Students are exempt from the GMAT requirement if they already have a graduate degree. They may be exempt if they have more than 10 years of managerial experience and an undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
