Program Details

With an online Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work, students of The University of Tennessee-Knoxville are prepared to enter the professional human services field.  This program is designed for transfer students bringing credits from an accredited AA or AS program.  Studies may cover topics including but not limited to:

  • Trauma
  • Crisis intervention
  • Forensic social work  

Courses work in synchronous and asynchronous formats, giving students ultimate flexibility.  Enrolled students have the opportunity to work in fieldwork/practicum placements through guidance from fieldwork coordinators.  The University of Tennessee-Knoxville online presents aspiring students with real-world experience, cutting-edge electives, and the knowledge and skills to succeed in a professional social work setting.

  • Must have earned 60 transferrable credit hours and an Associate of Art or Associate of Science degree
