Program Details

The online Master of Education in Advanced Early Childhood Education is a Non-Licensure degree program that aligns with the social justice focus of the Curriculum and Instruction program.  The program provides students with advanced knowledge that prepares them to support diverse populations including promoting enhanced outcomes for at-risk children and their families while advancing the preparation of leaders in the field of early childhood.  This is designed for professionals who have bachelor’s degrees in early childhood education and for professionals with diverse undergraduate degrees who work in the field in roles that do not require the direct implementation or supervision of early childhood curriculum.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Letter of intent
  • Current resume
  • Official transcripts from all previous institutions attended
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • At least one (two if undergraduate GPA is below 3.0) of the following: official GRE or MAT scores OR MA/MEd/MS GPA of 3.0 or higher and an official transcript from the institution that awarded this degree OR 500-word essay OR national board certification
  • Background check and screens required for licensure applicants
