Program Details

The University of Alabama offers the online BS in Food and Nutrition. Through this program students will gain an understanding of the relationship between nutrition and human health and be able to apply that knowledge in your career. With this degree, you are taking the first step toward becoming a registered dietitian.

  • If high school graduation was more than four years ago, a minimum high school GPA of 2.5 is required
  • If high school graduation was less than four years ago, a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 is required and you must submit your high school transcript and ACT or SAT scores
  • If you did not complete high school, but completed the GED, a minimum GED score of 510 is required
  • A 2.0 GPA on all college level coursework attempted, if applicable
  • If you have attempted at least 24 credit hours of transferable college level coursework, you will not need to submit a high school transcript or ACT/SAT scores.
