Program Overview

The Chicago School of Professional Psychology offers the Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology, Non-Licensure Track, a program that provides students with a strong foundation in psychology that can be applied to juvenile, civil, and criminal justice systems. Students will study a variety of topics, which include mental health law, substance abuse treatment, understanding the criminal personality, crime prevention, and more. 

Graduates are prepared to apply their skills to a wide range of professions, such as:

    The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, a private not-for-profit agency, was founded in 1979 by a group of professionals as a means to advance training for graduate students interested in the study of psychology. To date, The Chicago School is the oldest and largest graduate school focusing specifically on degrees in psychology and related behavior sciences. The Chicago School of Professional Psychology has maintained a vision of providing small school environments, located in urban settings, in order to promote effective graduate research and instruction. The Chicago School of Professional Psychology has campuses located throughout Chicago, Los Angeles/Orange County, Washington, D.C., in addition to an Online campus.

    The Chicago School of Professional Psychology offers the following Online/Blended programs in two basic formats: blended or synchronous virtual residency. Blended formats integrate online and on-campus learning while synchronous virtual residency programs are delivered online and require students to attend a one-or-two hour virtual session per term simultaneously with their class.
