Program Details

The online Bachelor of Arts in History and Social Studies Secondary Education program is designed to prepare educators to teach Social Studies in grades 6-12, which is middle and/or senior high school. Educators are prepared to teach in both public and private schools. The curriculum features Biblical foundation courses along with foundation courses in General Education. 

Major topics specific to this degree include:

  • Teaching principles and methods
  • History, geography, and government
  • Classroom management

Students participate in an internship where they have the opportunity to gain practical applications.
