The online Bachelor of Arts in English Secondary Education program is designed to prepare educators to teach English in grades 6-12, which is middle and/or senior high school. Educators are prepared to teach in both public or private schools. The curriculum features a Biblical foundation along with foundation courses in General Education. Courses specific to this degree include:
Education programs first require completion of 50 hours of coursework, including General Education Foundation and Biblical/Theological Foundation requirements; with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better. BCF offers online associate programs in which students can gain entry credits.
School application requires:
Active participation in a local Christian church for at least one year
Affirmation of faith and service form
Recommended by a local Christian church
Commitment to high moral character
Proof of immunizations for measles and rubella
High school diploma or the equivalent
Official transcripts from any and all institutions of higher education attended
SAT or ACT test scores (waived for transfer students with 24 or more semester hours)
Home-school students may have added requirements
