Program Details

TWU offers the online MS in Health Studies. This degree prepares students for leadership positions in health education and health promotion. Students will learn about the epidemiological, cultural, physical and psychosocial issues related to health and how to develop strategies to address them.

There are three options available in this program:

  • Dental Hygiene Emphasis
  • Non-thesis
  • Thesis
  • (Emphasis areas for thesis and non-thesis students include higher education, community/population health and worksite health.)


  • Requires from 36-42 credits for completion
  • An undergraduate degree
  • 3.0 GPA
  • For the dental hygiene emphasis, you must have graduated with an entry-level dental hygiene degree from a Commission on Dental Accreditation program and a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene or related field
  • Personal statement letter
  • Resume/Curriculum Vitae
  • Two recommendations from references
  • Supplemental documents as needed
