Educational Diagnostician Certification Preparation Program

Program Details

The coursework for the Educational Diagnostician Certification Preparation Program can be pursued independently or as an area of emphasis with the Master of Education in Special Education. Either way, the classes are completely online, making it possible to advance students career in education without stepping into a classroom. 

This program is for participants who wish to obtain certification as an educational diagnostician along with the master’s degree. Certified teachers who already possess a master’s degree may also complete course work leading to certification. 

This professional certificate allows an inpidual to evaluate students for admission to special education and assess inpidual learning characteristics for programming purposes. This program consists of 36-39 credit hours. Coursework is completed online and a prerequisite of a bachelor’s degree is required as well as a teaching certificate. Students are not required to enroll in a designated number of courses each semester, so completion time varies by inpidual.

A master’s degree and two years of teaching experience is required to take state certification tests for Educational Diagnostician.
