Program Details

The online BS in Plant & Soil Science degree with a concentration in Horticulture is designed to build on a foundation of basic biological and physical science principles, and to provide students a broad base of knowledge and experience in many aspects of the plant and soil sciences industry. Students learn skills such as:

  • The latest methods to produce agronomic, forage, horticultural, and turfgrass crops 
  • Conservation of natural soil and water resources
  • Current management techniques to control or prevent plant diseases, insects, and weed species
  • Efficient soil nutrient and water management
  • Fertilization and pesticide application

Requirements

This is a bachelor completion program. A total of 120 credits are required, including transfer credits.
