Program Details

Texas Tech University's College of Education offers an online Applied Behavior Analysis Graduate Certificate that is designed to meet the BCBA® programmatic requirements. The coursework is available as a stand-alone certificate or as an area of emphasis with an online Master of Education in Special Education. 

This program prepares graduates to work in a variety of fields including education, developmental disabilities, autism, child protective services, mental health, residential supports, and rehabilitation and advances. Additionally, the certificate and professional development offerings enhance the knowledge and skills of current professionals, including but not limited to, regular and special education teachers, school psychologists, principals, guidance counselors, speech and language clinicians, occupational and physical therapists, reading specialists and home and school visitors. 

As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, students have the ability to work as a leader in the field of ABA. They may choose to open a private business, bill insurance companies for services rendered, consult with school districts or private agencies, work as part of a team, or practice independently. The 15-hour Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis serves as a course of study for students who want to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst coursework but may not want to complete the entire national certification process.
