Program Details
The online MBA concentration in Management Information Systems program is designed to prepare students for a variety of managerial roles in the field of business, specifically in the area of Management Information Systems. In addition to a core of general business topics, coursework covers specialized topics in management information systems such as telecommunications, networks, data resources management, and executive information systems. The MBA courses develop managerial competence through the extensive use of various pedagogies such as case methods, simulations, and research projects.
Online courses are taught using a variety of methods depending on each faculty member’s vision for the course and associated content. Communication is through iLearn and includes case discussions, virtual project teams, and other active-learning approaches. The goal is to use experiential learning to make strong connections between academic subjects and to prepare students to serve both short- and long-term needs of all types in private and public organizations.
