Program Overview

Tarleton State University offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Interdisciplinary Business ideal for students who want to take a broad spectrum of courses that do not focus on one specific area.  The benefit of this degree is its flexibility to suit the students' personal interests as they apply to their career goals in business administration.

The program requires that students take 47 semester hours in Tarleton State University Core Curriculum courses which include: Communications (9 hrs.), Mathematics (3 hrs.), Natural Sciences (7 hrs.), Humanities and Visual and Performing Arts (6 hrs.), Social and Behavioral Sciences (15 hrs.) and Health and Wellness (2 hrs.).  

The courses required for a BBA in Interdisciplinary Business include: Mathematics (3 hrs.), Accounting and Finance (9 hrs.), Computer Information Systems (6 hrs.), General Business (15 hrs.), Marketing and Economics (9 hrs.), one Higher Level ENGL, GB, MGMT, or COMS course (3 hrs.), Management (6 hrs.), Electives (6 hrs.) and a support area (24 hrs.) in but not limited to Small Business/Entrepreneurship, Real Estate/Insurance, Health Care Administration, International Business, Financial Institution Management, Manufacturing Management, Residential Management, Restaurant Management, Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Housing and Interiors, Public Relations, Technical Communications, and Military Science.

    School Overview

    Tarleton State University is a state university, located in Stephenville, Texas, that is well-known for their horse breeding program and innovative teacher education. Founded in 1899, Tarleton State is known for having one of the largest and oldest public school improvement partnerships helping more than 50 area school districts. In 1917, Tarleton became a member of the Texas A&M University System and, in 1959, it became a four-year degree granting institution. In 1973, the school gained status as a university. Today, TSU is one of the country’s fasting growing public universities and is recorded as the second largest institution in the Texas A&M system.
