Program Overview

Tarleton State University offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Administrative Systems which addresses the fundamental topics in undergraduate business education such as management, marketing, finance, statistics, business law and ethics, management information systems, entrepreneurship/small business management, and business policy and strategy.  This degree emphasizes both the practical and theoretical aspects of business operations ensuring that students will be well prepared for the job market.

The program requires that students take 47 semester hours in Tarleton State University Core Curriculum courses which include: Communications (9 hrs.), Mathematics (3 hrs.), Natural Sciences (7 hrs.), Humanities and Visual and Performing Arts (6 hrs.), Social and Behavioral Sciences (15 hrs.) and Health and Wellness (2 hrs.).

Successful completion of the B.B.A. degree in Administrative Systems requires that the following courses are taken: Administration (18 hrs.), Advanced Administration electives (6 hrs.), General Business (15 hrs.), Mathematics (3 hrs.), Accounting (6 hrs.), Finance (3 hrs.), Computer Information Systems (6 hrs.), Marketing (3 hrs.), Economics (6 hrs.), Management (6 hrs.), an upper level ENGL, GB, MGMT, or COMS course (3 hrs.), and Electives (6 hrs.).

    School Overview

    Tarleton State University is a state university, located in Stephenville, Texas, that is well-known for their horse breeding program and innovative teacher education. Founded in 1899, Tarleton State is known for having one of the largest and oldest public school improvement partnerships helping more than 50 area school districts. In 1917, Tarleton became a member of the Texas A&M University System and, in 1959, it became a four-year degree granting institution. In 1973, the school gained status as a university. Today, TSU is one of the country’s fasting growing public universities and is recorded as the second largest institution in the Texas A&M system.
