Program Details

Syracuse University offers the online Master of Science in Library & Information Science. Students will learn to change how communities and organizations use library and information resources for the better. The curriculum provides a foundational core that provides the skills all librarians should have, and elective credits so you can find your niche as a librarian. In addition, students are prepared for careers in a broad range of settings, including academic institutions, public libraries, corporations, government agencies, and cultural institutions. The program offers a specialization in School Media for students seeking to provide active curriculum support services and library and information skills instruction in elementary and secondary school settings.
