Program Details

The Master of Science in Nursing Education leads students toward a career path in academia or staff development. Online didactic coursework is complemented by practical internship experience as a nurse educator.

Classes take a look at nursing education theory, research, health policy, legal and regulatory issues, and grant proposal writing. Students gain additional expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, and program evaluation. The online Nursing Education degree is available in both part-time and full-time formats.

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in nursing from a CCNE or NLNAC accredited program, including a basic statistics course with grade C or better
  • Must have a current, unrestricted, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in your state
  • Provide evidence of at least 2,000 hours of work experience as a Registered Nurse
