Master of Science in Education in Physical Education / Leadership

Program Details

The online Master of Science in Education in Physical Education Leadership program is designed for those with physical education certification who wish to pursue leadership positions in their schools or districts.  The curriculum provides the skills needed to develop curriculums and track the effectiveness of a school’s teachers and programming, preparing educators to improve current programs, make the case for additional resources, and work to advance legislation that can enhance physical education throughout the state.  Graduates will have the opportunity to advance their schools’ goals for physical literacy, improving fitness, promoting excellent health, and building competitive athletic teams within their student bodies.

Requirements

  • On-campus two-week summer residency required
  • Bachelor's degree or higher with an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (4.0 scale)
  • Official transcripts from all institutions of higher learning
  • Resume with three references
  • Letter of application indicating why you are interested in the program
  • Documentation of initial certification in physical education
  • GRE or MAT test scores
