Literacy development is vital in schools and the workplace, serving as the building blocks upon which other learning is based. Learn about teaching literacy to students of all ages and in all types of educational settings. These settings may be traditional classroom and early childhood settings or non-school settings such as prisons.
The curriculum covers such topics as:

- Instruction involving technology
Emphasis is placed on developing effective instructional methods, formats, and assessments for informing and promoting literacy development. Students are encouraged to pursue their individual interests in a program that allows flexibility in the coursework.
