Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Public Health Surveillance and Preparedness offers formal training in public health preparedness with a focus on bioterrorism and infectious disease from a public health perspective.  Students also gain a basic knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS) processes, preparing them to work productively as members of health emergency response teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in a completed bachelor’s and/or graduate degree
  • One semester of mathematics (algebra or pre-calculus) or statistics with a grade of B or higher
  • One semester of social sciences
