Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN)

Program Details

The School of Nursing at SFA encourages nurses who have completed their nursing education in either an associate degree or diploma program to obtain the Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The RN-BSN online track was established for the student who has previously passed the NCLEX-RN and has current licensure as a registered nurse and wishes to obtain the baccalaureate degree. These RN-BSN track courses are online.

Requirements

The RN to BSN program requires 120 credits for completion, including transfer and major requirements.

  • Degree completion curriculum: 31 credits
  • Meet criteria for admission to Stephen F. Austin State University
  • Overall GPA of 2.5 in prerequisite courses, including transfer courses
  • Have current RN license and be employed as an RN
