Program Details

The online Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics program encompasses bioinformatic, clinical informatics, and public health informatics and allows students to focus on any aspect of information management and analysis relevant to biomedical research.  Students will learn methods relevant to basic biology, to patient care, and to entire health systems while learning to use information technology to analyze and understand biomedical data and learning how to develop new methods for using information to improve health care.  The flexible program allows students to create individual programs of study with a mixture of graduate-level courses in computer science, statistics, or other technical informatics-related disciplines that allows them to achieve in-depth mastery of these areas.

Requirements

  • Must be employed full-time and remain employed throughout duration of program
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Strong background in calculus, computer programming, statistics, linear algebra, biology, and physiology
